Joss 20-13 Pool Cue | Masterful Craftsmanship, Precision Performance
The Joss 20-13 pool cue is a remarkable fusion of artistry and high-performance engineering. Designed for players who demand superior accuracy and control, this cue delivers a solid, consistent hit with unmatched responsiveness.
Design and Craftsmanship
The Joss 20-13 stands out with its Curly Birch (Flame Birch) forearm featuring six floating Maple points, each outlined with a black veneer. Between each point, a floating double-sided Maple dart shape is carefully placed, each containing a pearl diamond inlay at its center— all highlighted with black accents. The butt sleeve, also constructed from Flame Birch, continues this elegant theme with matching dart shapes and pearl inlays for a harmonious and eye-catching finish. A genuine Irish Linen wrap completes the classic look while providing a slip-resistant grip.
Performance and Playability
The Joss 20-13 provides a firm, crisp hit with outstanding feedback. Engineered for both professionals and serious amateurs, this cue ensures top-level control, balance, and precision. Its full-length core construction extends from the butt plate to the joint, delivering a solid, one-piece feel and superior shot consistency. This advanced build also enhances warp resistance, ensuring long-term durability.

Joss Cues Heritage & Craftsmanship
Joss Cues® are handcrafted in the USA in Towson, Maryland by the Janes family team led by Stephen Janes, who learned cue making under his father, Dan Janes—the founder of Joss Cues. Dan and his good friend Bill Stroud started the Joss Cue Company in 1968 (the word “Joss” means luck), and in 1972 Dan bought Bill out and expanded Joss into one of the most recognized American cue brands.
Dan was known for staying ahead of the market—standardizing joint sizes early so shafts could be interchangeable, transitioning from V-groove points and pantograph work into CNC-machined points and inlays, and pioneering unique handle-joining techniques seen in some of his “hustler” style cues. He was inducted into the International Cuemakers Hall of Fame (2012), inducted into the American Cuemakers Association Hall of Fame (2003), and received the ACA’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022. Dan passed away on June 20, 2023.
Stephen continues that legacy with the same integrity, precision, and playability-first standards Joss is known for—and was recognized as the ACA Cuemaker of the Year (2017).
