The Viking Defender DF1200 is all about strategy and precision, right down to the artwork. The cue starts with a natural‑stain Birdseye maple forearm pierced by five ebony points, and each point holds a white premium pearl chess piece – bishop, knight, rook, queen and king – inlaid into the wood. The butt sleeve is solid ebony with matching white premium pearl inlays and index ringwork, tying the whole “black chess” theme together. A black embossed leather wrap completes the look and gives a secure, textured grip.

Performance comes from the ViKORE performance shaft: hard rock maple aged and turned over many months, with a reactive core and internal dampening for low deflection, enhanced power and a softer feel at impact. The ViKORE performance shaft is constructed with a reactive core and Softouch® dampening for lower deflection, extra power and reduced vibration and paired with a Tiger Everest laminated tip and Viking SUPER ferrule for excellent spin control and consistency. The cue uses Viking’s familiar high‑impact black (IMA) joint with stainless quick‑release pin, a 12–14" pro taper and a triple‑coat UV urethane finish for long‑term durability and shine.
