The Viking DE0108 (often called the Viking Axe) is a sleek, wrapless cue built for players who like a clean feel in the back hand and a bold look on the butt. The forearm and sleeve are Northwoods hard rock maple finished in a rich Viking teal stain, with a striking “Axe” graphic on the butt that gives the cue its name. With no wrap to break up the handle, you get a smooth, uninterrupted grip that lets you slide your bridge hand exactly where you want it.

Up front, the DE0108 comes standard with Viking’s ViKORE low‑deflection maple shaft, aged about five years and turned 9–11 times over 18–24 months to stay straight. It’s topped with a Tiger Everest laminated tip and a capped, threaded Viking SUPER ferrule for a solid, durable contact point and reliable spin control. The shaft uses a 12–14" pro taper, giving you a smooth stroke and plenty of room for your bridge hand.

The ViKORE shaft on the DE0108 is built around a lighter ViKORE center core set inside Michigan hard rock maple. Viking bores out the front of the shaft and replaces some of the maple with this lighter core material, reducing front‑end mass so the cue deflects the cue ball less and channels more of your stroke energy straight through the shot.

Inside the shaft are Viking Softouch® dampeners – one behind the core and another under the ferrule – which soak up excess vibration and buzz. That gives you a smoother, more solid feel, clearer feedback and better speed control, especially on power strokes.

The front is finished with Viking’s indestructible SUPER ferrule and a Tiger Everest laminated cue tip, so you get a tough, long‑lasting contact point with the grip and spin of a premium layered tip.
